Quilters will find me, even if I was in the middle of a wheat field! This old school building is in the process of getting an activity facelift. A number of volunteers have been working and meeting for years to develop a plan to develop the Old Roosevelt School into an Art and Cultural Center.
Sometimes you'll see kids practicing their volleyball in the gym, or the famous Red Lodge Music Festival. The future holds the possibility of having performances and community gatherings.
The classroom spaces have been rented out to small businesses like my quilt shop. The space is very suitable for my long-arm quilting business and fabric kit sales. I do a fair amount of online sales and have recently changed my online store over to my Etsy site you can find at calamityquilter.com.
My shop is open to the public Friday 10 am till 3 pm and Saturday 11 am till 2 pm.
I'm often here at the shop during the week quilting on my longarm quilt machine for other people as well as cutting kits for sale.
I'm a one woman operation with a need for camping, so right around Huckleberry picking season I hook up my old Airstream Trailer and head for the hills, the wilderness actually. During those weeks I may be able to get a quilter friend to keep the store open on Friday's and Saturday's.
